Headquartered at Honnavar, a coastal town in Uttara kannada district, in the lap of the Western Ghats, at the mouth of the river Sharavathi as it joins the Arabian Sea, the organization works primarily in rural settlements.  It takes students and culture travelers to the field to gain hands on work experience and thereby understand the complexities that the native population deal with on a daily basis. Currently focused on five tribes (Gammokkalu, Kareokkalu, Halakki, Gondas abd Siddis) and other communities, whose settlements are located around Honnavar.
